Notorious Eastern Freeway Porsche driver Richard Pusey has said he plans to undergo gender reassignment surgery during his latest bizarre court appearance.

Pusey, 44, represented himself via video link from prison at the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday after he allegedly posted a picture of a dead police officer from the freeway crash in an online review of a Melbourne Porsche dealership.

During an argumentative appearance, Pusey, dressed in prison greens and with a blue towel wrapped around his head, told the court he is looking for a hospital so he can transition genders.

“I’ve had discussions with clinics in Melbourne in relation to my gender reassignment surgery and was two seconds into being put on to a bus to spend the day running to hospitals,” he said.

“Fortunately, it was brought to their attention that I actually had court today.”

Last month, Pusey hinted at his plans to transition after he told a magistrate his pronouns were now they/them.

During the brief hearing, Magistrate Charlie Rozencwajg asked Pusey to stop making noise.

“Has someone got a pair of scissors or something that they keep clicking? Could you stop doing that Mr Pusey?,” he said.

Pusey asked for an adjournment after claiming he hadn’t received court documents relating to two charges each of using a telecommunications device to menace and committing an indictable offence while on bail.

“There’s bits of dribs and drabs that are coming through, (but) there is a problem at the reception with the Metropolitan Remand Centre,” he said.

When prosecutor Anthony Albore refuted the claim and said a brief had been served, Pusey replied: “No, that’s not correct”.

Magistrate Rozencwajg ordered the prosecution write a letter to the prison to ensure Pusey received all legal documents.

When asked about the media’s requests for court documents, Pusey asked for the complainant’s name to be published because “the world needs to know the truth”.

But Magistrate Rozencwajg refused.

The Herald Sun revealed Pusey was back behind bars in February for allegedly posting the graphic image from the April 2020 crash.

Four officers – Glen Humphris, Kevin King, Lynette Taylor and Joshua Prestney – were killed when a truck ploughed into them in the emergency lane of the freeway, where they had stopped Pusey in his Porsche for speeding.

He is fighting the charges related to the online post and will appear at court again on April 20.
