REPORTS AND REPLAYS
U18 boys, Pool B: WA 5 – Vic Development 0
Victoria’s development side were simply no match for Western Australia in a 5-0 masterclass from start to finish.
Patrick Andrew and Chaz Davies set the scene with first-half goals before a final quarter blitz saw WA pile on three from Max Freedman, Hamish Adamson and Ian Grobbelaar.
U18 girls, Pool B: Victoria 4 – ACT 0
A star-studded performance from start to finish has seen Victoria make light work of the ACT, with an unrelenting attack proving more than a handful.
Three goals in the first 20 minutes put the game to bed early, with two to Tess Palubiski and one to Josie Lawton, before Charlotte Hodgson hit the scoreboard in the third quarter.
U18 boys, Pool B: NSW State 7 – ACT 0
New South Wales’ state team has handed the ACT an almighty thrashing, in a dominant display from start to finish.
Two goals apiece to Koby Johnstone, Jett Leong, Tyler Gaddes led the onslaught, while Dylan Downey also found his way onto the scoresheet.
U18 girls, Crossover: NSW Blue 1 – South Australia 1
A thrilling draw played out between the Blues and South Aussies.
After a scoreless first half, the Blues’ Chloe Holmes found the goals from a penalty corner in the closing stages of the third term, before a last-gasp effort from SA’s Emma Dean in the final two minutes tied it up.
U18 boys, Crossover: NSW Blue 2 – South Australia 1
A second-half arm-wrestle has ended in emphatic fashion, with New South Wales Blue pinching the win late.
Joshua Longo struck the first blow as he surged the South Aussies ahead three minutes into the match, before Sebastien Griffith levelled things up early in the third. The sides rallied hard into the fourth, before Zakary Keelan snared a field goal with about a minute left to land his side the victory.
U18 girls, Crossover: Tasmania 2 Northern Territory 0
Tasmania have ended the group stage with a 2-0 win over the NT.
Two goals in the space of a minute in the first quarter from Ansa Le Grange and Maddison Brooks were enough to give the hosts the win.
U18 Girls, Pool A: Western Australia 1 – NSWS 3
A goal in each of the first three quarters has been enough for New South Wales State to overcome Western Australia 3-1.
Alana Kavanagh, Hannah Russell and Maya Mcgrath all found the back of the net to give NSWS a comfortable lead heading into the final break.
But a goal from Beatriz Monger-Molowny with 10 minutes remaining made it an exciting end to the contest.
U18 girls, Pool A: Queensland 8 – Victoria Development 0
Hat-tricks from Claire Colwill, who extended her lead at the top of the tournament goalscoring charts, and Hannan Cullum-Sanders have led Queensland to a devastating 8-0 win over Victoria Development to start proceedings on day five.
Colwill secured her hat-trick just moments before the main break while Cullum-Sanders scored her final two after half-time.
Georgina West got the party started in just the second minute with a field goal while Amity Humphreys also scored.
Pool A: Victoria 0 – Tasmania 0
Victoria has finished as winners of pool A despite being held to a scoreless draw with Tasmania in their final pool game.
Both goalkeepers, Tasmania’s Magnus McCausland and Victoria’s Oscar Thompson, made fantastic saves throughout the match.
Who the Victorians meet will be determined later today
Pool A: Queensland 4 – Northern Territory 2
Queensland has survived a spirit fightback by the NT to keep touch with leaders Victoria in pool A.
A double from Hayden Pease, either side of goals from Bailey Charlesworth and Jacob Anderson, gave the Queenslanders what appeared to be a commanding 4-0 lead.
But Cameron Cooke and Luke Broadway willed their side back into the contest to give the NT signs of life in the final 15 minutes.
Despite some nervy moments Queensland was able to hang on.
