Some of the best country footballers in the state will be in Ballarat this weekend, competing at the Victorian Country Championships.
Held every long weekend in June, the tournament features regions from around the state competing in boys and girls divisions from different age groups.
And a slice of the action will be streamed LIVE and EXCLUSIVE on KommunityTV. Catch 16 games on two streams on Saturday. See the live stream schedule below.
Ahead of the event, we’ve taken a look at the players to look out for.
Joe Taylor (Sunraysia)
An U12 boys player who is a prolific goalscorer. Has scored eight goals for the Irymple Knights in the Sunraysia league this season.

Zoi Vagias (Geelong)
One of two U12 girls pinpointed by the coaches as a player to watch. Is also an excellent gymnast and basketballer.
Josh Colman (South West)
His last tournament, a mainstay between goals and a leader and legend among the U18s. The Corangamite Lion is the most capped goalkeeper in SWVFA representative history.

Alexandria Thomas (Ballarat)
Set to play in U12 girls for the home team. She averages one goal a game in the local competition in Ballarat.
Nicholas Stewart (Sunraysia)
An 11-year-old with great all round skills who will play in U12 boys. Has scored two goals for Mildura City this season.
Leo Jones (Geelong)
A goalkeeper who will play for U12 boys this weekend. He plays for Breakwater Eagles in the Geelong competition and has helped the team to concede just six goals so far.
Cameron Brito (Ballarat)
An under-18 player with excellent pace and great ball skills.
Liam Richards (Gippsland)
Richards is well known in the Gippsland league for his fast footwork and ability to find the back of the net for his long-term club Korumburra City. A versatile player equally comfortable in both the midfield and forward zones, Liam is the current goal scoring leader for the Senior Mens division of the Gippsland Soccer League and is sure to provide some magic moments in Ballarat in under-18.
Gabriel Lim (South West)
A two-time state championship winner with Victoria Country. The striker will play in under-14 boys and is currently second in the SWVFA for goals. He’s scored 26 goals in 12 games.
Lee-Min Sheehan (Sunraysia)
Another player part of the Sunraysia Talent Identification and Development Centre. He’s a midfielder who is playing for Irymple Knights and has scored three goals this season. Sheehan will play in under-13 boys.
Aidan Guerrero (South West)
A stylish free roaming midfielder from Stawell Pioneers Soccer with the power to shoot anywhere from his own half. Will play in under-12 boys for South West.
Tadgh Loughran (South West)
An extremely energetic and creative midfielder who regularly works his way into the box to create chances. The Warrnambool Rangers player will play for South West in under-12 boys.
Frey Pelham (Ballarat)
A consistent player with a strong attack in his game. He’s scored 18 goals in six games for his home club, Creswick. Will play in under-15 boys.
Darcy Strubelj (Sunraysia)
Part of the Sunraysia Talent Identification and Development Centre and is playing left back. Will play for the under-13 boys team and is currently playing for Irymple Knights in under-14 in the Sunraysia league.
Liam O’Keefe (Ballarat)
Set to be the main striker for the Ballarat under-12 team. He’s scored an impressive 28 goals in six games for Ballarat Red in under-12 competition.
Lily-Anne Harris (Geelong)
Will play in under-12 girls after dominating in under-14/15 girls in Geelong league. Has scored five goals in seven games for Drysdale.
Julian Cooke (South West)
A serious box to box midfielder with a high level of physicality and aggression. A leader among his peers. The Warrnambool Wolves player will be part of the under-14 boys team.
Natalie Prictor (Sunraysia)
Will play in under-18 despite just turning 15. A very good player who leads the scoring in under-16 girls with six this season. She plays for Irymple Knights.
Will Adams (Ballarat)
He’s a speedy little left footer who is already playing senior football in Ballarat in Division 2. Will be playing under-18.
William Standish (Geelong)
Has played in under-14 and under-16 boys for his club side, Bell Park, this season. He will represent Geelong in under-14 boys at the Country Championships.
Lukas Boyle (South West)
A box to box threat with fine leadership skills and silky passing ability. This will be his second Country Championships and he will play in under-14 boys.
George Miller (Sunraysia)
A talented player who can play in midfield and at centre back. Will play in under-13.
Robbie Charles (Ballarat)
Has the ability to command a game from the centre of the park despite his small size. Will play in under-15 boys.
Harry Rawson (Geelong)
The Barwon Heads player will play in under-16 boys at the Country Championships. He’s scored two goals in six games in the Geelong league.
Darcy Venn (South West)
A strong female player with a no-nonsense attitude and a dig-deep work ethic who always threatens the goals with raw shot power. The Stawell Pioneers player will play in under-14 girls.
Lillee Driscoll (Sunraysia)
Dominated the competition in under-16 last year in Sunraysia, scoring 42 goals in 16 matches for Mildura City. The striker is now playing senior women and will play in under-18 in the Country Championships.
Elizabeth Boyd (Ballarat)
Another under-12 girls player who is averaging one goal a game in the local Ballarat competition.
Scarlett Bone (Geelong)
Another Lara United player who is stepping up to under-16 girls. Bone has played five games for the club this season in Geelong scoring one goal.
Joseph Lim (South West)
One of five siblings to represent the SWVFA. His last tournament. A physical threat with overwhelming height and shooting ability. The Warrnambool Wolves player will play in under-18 boys.
Neve Tingey (Sunraysia)
A talented player who is involved in seniors after playing under-16 for Nichols Point last season. Will play for Sunraysia’s under-18 girls team.
Freyja Niehus (Ballarat)
A strong player with great speed and the ability to score. She’s currently second in the senior women’s league goal scoring for Ballarat. Niehus will play in under-16.
Hannah Bigmore (Geelong)
A teammate of Hook for Lara United. Bigmore is also stepping up to under-16 girls after playing in under-14/15 in Geelong this season. She has scored eight goals in seven games.
Noah McKinnon (South West)
A rapidly growing talent able to threaten from the outside or inside. Capable of creating chances and frequently winning one v one’s. The Portland Panthers player will play under-18 boys.
Chad Spain (Sunraysia)
A talented winger and midfielder who has trialled previously for state and school state sides. Will play under-13 boys.
Cruze Dimovski (Geelong)
Set to be one of the main attacking options for the under-11 boys north team. Dimovski has scored two goals in four matches for Geelong Soccer Club in under-12 this season.
Annelise Hook (Geelong)
Hook is playing up in grade in under-16 girls this year at the Country Championships. In under-14/15 competition with Geelong she has scored seven goals in seven games for Lara United.
