One week after Donald Trump dropped the f-bomb, Jacinta Allan seemed to think she could pull off the same trick. This is why the Premier unleashed.

Putting the squeeze on Victoria’s movers, shakers and headline makers
Donald Trump is probably the last political leader who would offer any inspiration to Jacinta Allan.
How, then, to explain the Socialist Left leader of Victoria deciding the best way to make her point is with an expletive – not even a week after the US President shocked the world with the same tactic?
The Premier was being grilled by reporters on Monday about Queensland Treasurer David Janetzki’s criticism of Victoria hoovering up too much GST revenue when she unleashed.
Allan accused him of taking “nonsensical potshots”, suggesting he shift his focus to working with the federal government to secure a fairer share of funding.
“Perhaps let me put it in a way that the Queensland Treasurer can understand: it’s just bullshit,” she said.
“When you look at the history of the GST, Victoria has been a net contributor to the tune of $31bn and the Queensland budget’s $8bn-plus black hole has got nothing to do with the circumstances here in Victoria.”
Allan’s language was at least slightly more family-friendly than Trump’s when he ranted last week about the war between Israel and Iran.
“We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f*** they are doing,” the President fumed.
Will Allan try out any other Trump tactics on the road to next year’s state election? The Source will be watching.
Radio host riding high above the law
Which breakfast radio host was looking very urbane cruising around the streets of Richmond on a Lime bike last Thursday evening?
He picked up the two-wheeler outside the railway station and took off into the night.
The only problem was that he hadn’t bothered to put on a helmet, even with a couple of police cars lurking nearby.
Luckily for him, he managed to avoid the long arm of the law. But a helmet surely would not have caused him too many headaches, especially given the host in question does not have much hair to worry about messing up.
