DOWNWARD dog will be given another meaning at this Moonee Ponds yoga studio next weekend.
Yogies will be barking mad when a litter of beagle puppies are unleashed in Studio 3 Australia’s first doga (dog-yoga) class on Saturday September 15.
The class will help raise money for Second Chance Animal Rescue, with the aim of building a not-for-profit, community animal hospital.

Sarah Kilalea has been set with the ambitious task of raising $200,000 in two years for the organisation.
“Every single month they’re (Second Chance) living half mast, they have to keep the shelter going,” she said.
“They’re looking to build the not-for-profit animal hospital so animals don’t have to be put down.”
The one-hour yoga sessions cost $30 per person, with all animals in the classes up for adoption at a later date.
Studio chief executive Elyse Marinaccio has put on two more sessions to cope with demand.
“The first event sold out and there’s two new ones that we have put online,” she said.
Second Chance Animal Rescue was founded by vet nurse and local shelter volunteer Marisa Debattista in 2008.
The hospital will provide affordable and free veterinary options for pet owners, including routine vaccinations, health checks to diagnostics and special services.
