MELBOURNE’S wine scene is going to the dogs, literally.
The paw-fect drop of vino will be served to our four-legged friends at Puppies and Pinot at The Ascot Lot next weekend.

Drops of pet-friendly pinot noir and pinot gris will be on ice, alongside the more traditional drinks for their owners at the wine festival.
Dog wine creator Katie Crandon developed the dog drinks through her business Canine Wellness Kitchen.
“We like to push the boundaries for animal nutrition,” she said.
“Our pinot noir is made from chicken broth, infused with strawberries and blueberries. Not only is it a wine, it’s healthy.”
The white wine is made with chicken broth infused with pear and apple.
Ms Crandon said dogs always lapped up the booze-free treat.
“Do they love it? Absolutely. We have to taste test (what we make) and it’s a bit sweet and sour,” she said.
Three types of beer — a lager, dark and pale ale — and a cider are also sold at the Canine Wellness Kitchen.
Wine tastings, “winescream” (wine-flavoured ice-cream) and food trucks will be on site.
Puppies and Pinot, by Vinomofo, will showcase a series of wines at the free event on Saturday February 17 at 11am.
Dog owners are encouraged to take their friendly pooches on a lead.
All proceeds on the day from the sale of puppy swag bags and winescream will be donated to the Gumtree Greys greyhound foster group.
