A Melbourne muscleman on bail over a massive steroids investigation has won a minimum $300,000 prize in a competition run by “Lambo guy” Adrian Portelli.

Daniel Tenace enjoyed the welcome change of luck last month when he was announced by Mr Portelli as the winner of one of his lucrative LMCT+ prize draws.

The win was broadcast on Facebook where Mr Portelli called the winner, who was named as “Daniel T”.

After Mr Portelli told him he was the winner, Tenace was given the option of taking a Lamborghini Urus, worth nearly half a million dollars, or $300,000 cash.

Tenace, who said he resided in Keilor, said it was a “life changer, mate”.

When asked by Mr Portelli if he wanted to show his face to the thousands of online viewers, Tenace said: “F--- no, not at the moment bro, I’m a mess. It’s not happening bro, sorry.”

The personal trainer initially fumbled when asked how old he was, missing the mark by four years: “I’m 29 … ahh 33.”

His girlfriend, Lucy seemed more excited and upbeat about her boyfriend’s extravagant winnings than he did.

Portelli asked Tenace if he could show his rig and whether he was “jacked”, a term meaning highly muscular.

“He is jacked,” Lucy said.

Tenace and fellow bodybuilder Nathan Williamson were arrested and charged in December last year after a massive bust at a Docklands apartment tower.

A Port Melbourne gym was also raided as part of a seven-month Victoria Police investigation.

Tenace and Williamson, both 32, were charged with offences including trafficking steroids, testosterone, diazepam, alprazolam and knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime.

It has been alleged they stored drugs in various apartments in the complex and used one of them as a “distribution centre.”

The haul was so large police had to make multiple trips to load up a truck and transport the evidence away.

Police have previously alleged one of the apartments was rented in the name of Williamson’s unknowing mother.

LMCT+ is a promotion and giveaway company with big prize draws open to its membership.

It is one arm of a business empire which has earned Mr Portelli an estimated fortune of $1.3bn.

The 35-year-old’s $39m penthouse in Exhibition St was recently broken into by intruders.
