WHEN it comes to delicious treats, the Victorian Girl Guides take the biscuit.
For 60 years, Girl Guides like Helen, 8, Nora, 9, and Maggie, 8, have helped raise money by satisfying our biscuit cravings.
Mini choc chip and buttery shortbread are favourites, but it’s the humble vanilla biscuit that has been a staple of our diet, remarkably appearing on sale since the start — and after National Girl Guide Biscuit Day, it seems we still can’t get enough.

“Girl Guide biscuits are a 60-year-old tradition that is still as relevant to our Girl Guides today as they were back then,” Girl Guides Victoria State Commissioner Lynne Emblin said.
“By purchasing Girl Guides biscuits, you are supporting the girls in your community to participate in all sorts of activities, from rock-climbing to cooking.”
While the National Biscuit Day has wrapped up, the delicious treats will stay on sale for the next couple of months.
Proceeds go directly towards the Girl Guide unit behind the sale.
