THE Footy Show has turned in another strong ratings result to beat rival The Front Bar in the second head-to-head battle of 2018 between the two shows.
Nine’s football program, hosted by Eddie McGuire with Sam Newman, averaged 205,000 viewers in Melbourne.

Last night’s edition of The Footy Show featured Hawthorn star Tom Mitchell as well as North Melbourne’s Luke Davies-Uniacke and St Kilda’s Hunter Clark plus new recruits Dane Swan and Brendan Fevola.
The Front Bar, with Andy Maher, Mick Molloy and Sam Pang, averaged 153,000 viewers in Melbourne. It featured Hawthorn Football Club president Jeff Kennett.
Last night’s win will be especially pleasing for McGuire and co because The Footy Show triumphed without the benefit of a strong lead-in from Married at First Sight.
Last week The Footy Show averaged 228,000 viewers in Melbourne and The Front Bar averaged 130,000.
The Footy Show built on the 167,000 that RBT averaged in Melbourne but The Front Bar dropped from the 167,000 that Home and Away averaged.
Next week sees a special Commonwealth Games edition of The Front Bar on Tuesday night.
