Bromley is one of three artists who have created art for the jars, with Mitch Revs and Claudia Moodoonuthi also designing works that are a reflection of what Australia tastes like to them.
“My first memories of Australia are closely linked with the iconic Australian brand, the hot summers, the old corrugated iron fences and iconic labels and advertising,” Bromley says.
“To now have worked on art that will feature on the labels of the 95th anniversary jars feels almost full circle.”
All three artworks will be unveiled at a gala event at Bromley’s Prahran studio on Thursday night, where a range of Vegemite-inspired dishes created by chef Charlie Carrington from Atlas Dining will be served.
Each original art piece will then be up for online auction at store.vegemite.com.au, with proceeds donated to each artist’s chosen charity.
