Vegemite and cheese popcorn now at Village Cinemas

CAN’T get enough of Australia’s iconic spread? It’s popping up at the cinemas in new way for movie-goers to try. Here’s where you can get your hands on it.

YOUR favourite Aussie spread has been combined with the country’s favourite movie snack and is now at Village Cinemas.

Cinemagoers can enjoy Vegemite and cheese-flavoured popcorn while they watch their favourite flick at the movies.

“We are very excited to be partnering with our good friends at Village Cinemas and Event Cinemas, to deliver an Aussie take on a cinema classic,” Vegemite marketing manager Matt Gray said.

“Vegemite loves popping up in new and exciting places, and we can’t wait to spread the love with popcorn that truly tastes like Australia.”

The general manager of sales and marketing at Village Entertainment, Mo Bhargava, said the chain wanted to treat moviegoers to more than the standard butter flavour and was keen to see how popular it would prove to be.

“We wanted to expand on our traditional savoury offering of buttered popcorn and couldn’t look past one of butter’s best companions, Vegemite,” Mr Bhargava said.

The “chef’s gourmet premium popcorn” range, which includes other varieties such as rocky road and salted caramel, is available for a limited time.
