It is understood Gabrielle Soltan was the 32-year-old involved in the fatal crash, while visiting from Brisbane.

NT Police said they were first made aware of the crash, about 75km north of the township about 6am last Thursday.

Sister-in-law Jazinda O’Shea has started a GoFundMe to cover funeral costs, with $6530 of a $10,000 goal raised so far.

“A mother, daughter, aunty, cousin, sister, friend and best friend — She was everything all rolled up into a beautiful person,” Jazinda wrote.

“We are all devastated to lose such a bright star and Lilly, Stevie, Keeley, Amelia, Harper and Armani will forever be without their mother.”

Ms O’Shea told the Courier Mail Gabrielle was travelling to the NT from Queensland when the crash happened.

“She would Facetime me and send me video updates of everywhere she went but then I got a call from her mum the morning of the crash.

“(Gabrielle’s mum) said the car had flipped but her boyfriend survived. The boyfriend’s friend also passed away.”

“We knew each other for nearly 14 years as she shares two children with my brother.”

Ms O’Shea is raising money for the funeral and searching for someone to do an “epic burnout” for her farewell.

“All money will go to (her mother) Sharlene to help with the funeral costs,” she said.

NT Police on Monday called for more information about the incident, with the movements of the light blue Mitsubishi Triton of interest.

Ms Salton’s death along with the 44-year-old man she was travelling with takes the NT’s 2022 road toll to 36.

It currently stands one higher than the entire total for 2021.
