Megan Gale has stepped out of the spotlight to focus on passion projects — her two kids.
After a successful 25-year modelling career, Gale said she began searching for a more meaningful role after the birth of son River and daughter Rosie.
And it’s helped her hit pause and appreciate the smaller things in life.

“I was in that newborn stage where I wasn’t sleeping and feeding was hard,” Gale said.
“I was kind of wishing it away, but it made me stop and think, ‘Don’t look at that bath/bedtime routine as such a laborious chore, but look at it as a time to stop and reflect and enjoy that time with these small babies’.
“It kind of flicked a switch and I thought that’s what this is about … it’s a time when my kids need me and want me.”
Gale, 43, began to practise mindfulness and started working from home on her “third baby”, Mindful Life, a lifestyle brand that launches on Sunday with a range of ethically sourced, natural skincare products for children.
Pictured in the media with her children for the first time, Gale said she was reluctant to feature them in product promotion despite them being the inspiration for them.
“I’ve shared a little bit on social media and in the end I thought I’ll go ahead and do the shoot and decide after if I’ll use the images or not,” Gale said.
“I could have rolled my kids out on a big publicity tour and really maximised them and it probably would have got more coverage but it’s about finding balance.”
While she doesn’t rule out having another baby with retired AFL footballer Shaun Hampson, Gale said it was highly unlikely.
“I think if I’d started having kids younger I would be able to create a little bit more of a gap between my second and my third and then feel quite comfortable at getting pregnant again,” she said.
“But the fact I was one of those women who chose to have children a little bit later in life, I don’t want to rush and have a third child because of my age.
“We’re both very happy with our cherubs and if it stops and starts with River and Rosie we’re very happy.
“The business is the third child, that’s why I’m scared. It’s almost like sending your baby off to school. This is the biggest thing I’ve ever done. This is my life savings going into this, my heart and soul poured into it.”
