AT THE PUB
Is there a better way to watch the game than with free-flowing beer on tap?
Pubs across Melbourne will be showing the Grand Final so you can cheer on your team with like-minded fans.
THE CORNER HOTEL — 57 Swan St, Richmond
The Corner Hotel will be open from 9am celebrating the Grand Final with a wild party in their band room, front bar, rooftop and even carpark.
Footy fans are invited to their Grand Final Backyard Bash.
Starting at noon, the Corner Hotel’s carpark will be transformed with live music, face painting, games, food trucks, and of course, a large LCD screen will show the Grand Final and all the pre-game entertainment.
And celebrations will continue after the Grand Final with more free live music from The Rechords at 6.30pm, and The Replacements at 8.30pm.
THE POSTY— 90 Swan Street, Richmond
Kicking off at 10am, The Posty is installing a big screen in their beer garden to show the match live and loud to proud footy fans.
The pub will also be having food and drink specials ($5 tinnies and $10 Dark & Stormys, anyone?) to keep their guests hydrated.
And if you’re keen to celebrate after the final siren, a DJ will be pumping tunes from the end of the match until late.
MT VIEW HOTEL— 70 Bridge Rd, Richmond
As the closest pub on Bridge Rd to the MCG, Mt View Hotel is ready for their 10th annual Grand Final Day Street Party.
And this year they’re expecting their biggest crowd yet.
Rotherwood St, which is next to the pub at the Bridge Rd intersection, will be sporting a large marquee with TVs, a bar, a barbecue and live music before and after the game.
Free face painting will be offered between 11am and 12pm.
The street party will have a first-in-best-dressed policy, and entry is free.
BRIDGE HOTEL— 642 Bridge Road, Richmond
Footy fans can be among all the Grand Final action at the Bridge Hotel.
Opening at 11am, the pub will be taking walk-ins all day, and the party continues well into the night with a DJ live after the Norm Smith Medal.
The pub offered an all-inclusive $100 studio package for their upstairs area, but this has now sold out.
They’re still taking tickets for the package at their sister venue, the Terminus Hotel.
RICHMOND CLUB HOTEL — 100 Swan St, Richmond
The Richmond Club Hotel are prepared to celebrate before, during and after the game.
Footy fans can grab a pre-game breakfast with a three hour drinks package from 9am to noon for $95.
During the game, the match will be played on all their screens and an a la carte lunch menu will be available.
After the match they’ll host an after-party.
Guests can wind down with acoustic music, before a DJ picks up the pace again from 9pm.
SPREAD EAGLE HOTEL — 372 Bridge Road, Richmond
The Spready’s Grand Final Day event is ticketed, and with huge anticipation of the match, tickets have already sold out.
But after the game at 6pm, newcomers are welcome and the pub will be letting in fans on a “one out, one in” basis.
The Voice’s Cam Tapp will perform live, followed by a DJ, Kaya Kalpa, at 8.30pm to keep the ball rolling.
THE TIPPLER AND CO— 58 Wellington Parade, East Melbourne
Fans who want to escape the noise after the game can relax at The Tippler and Co with craft beer and cider.
Their ‘pre-footy tapas’ is fully booked, but after the final siren they’re opening their doors for punters looking for a quiet drink and a chat about the match.
THE PRECINCT HOTEL — 60 Swan St, Cremorne
The Precinct will host their annual Grand Final Day Party from 10am until the early hours of the following morning.
The pub will show the match on a huge courtyard TV, and they’re expecting a full house from open to close.
They’ll be plating up a special footy menu and a DJ will keep the adrenaline pumping throughout all the breaks.
After the match, live bands will perform until 3am.

ON TV
Channel 7 will exclusively broadcast the game live on TV from 2pm, but you can catch a repeat on Fox Footy at 7pm.
And there will be plenty of pre-game coverage to keep you busy in the meantime.
On Fox Footy, the excitement kicks off live at 9am with the North Melbourne Grand Final breakfast — one of the biggest social events on the footy calendar.
Then at 10am, you can watch AFL fans compete to clear the Yarra River in the Fox Footy Longest Kick competition.
On Channel 7, all things AFL begin at 9am with AFL Game Day. Hamish McLachlan hosts big names in footy to look at the weekend’s excitement, issues and news.
At 11am, AFL Pre-Game starts, where the team from Saturday Night Footy preview the big game.
AT A PUBLIC VENUE
Federation Square
Every year AFL fans from across Australia gather at Federation Square in Melbourne’s city centre to watch the Grand Final on the big screen. And with food trucks plating up burgers, fish and chips, it’s no wonder the free event attracts a crowd.
Swinburne Centre
Richmond fans can watch the Tigers go head-to-head with the Crows with other members of the Tiger Army at the Swinburne Centre on Punt Road Oval.
Three big screens will show the Grand Final live and all the pre-game coverage. This family-friendly event will also have kids activities, live music, mascots, balloon artists and magicians to keep everyone entertained from start to finish.
Tickets go on sale on Tuesday September 26.
IF YOU’RE OVERSEAS
AFL fans overseas have a couple options to watch the AFL Grand Final live.
Stream online
The WatchAFL Global Pass streams every game live to 130 different countries, and has repeats on demand.
For the Grand Final, you can sign up for a $25 Grand Final pass that gives you access to coverage from September 25 to October 1 2017.
Find a party
Fans overseas need not be disappointed, many venues around the world will be hosting AFL Grand Final parties.
