MISS KNEADY EATERY
If you’re looking for a fun place to catch up with family and friends, this is it. It has
delicious wood-fired pizza and pasta, as well as a good selection of cocktails. You can
order all the pizzas with a gluten-free base and sub in vegan cheese if you want.
124 James St, Templestowe
SECOND HOME
This place serves up an awesome brunch — everything from a breakfast super salad to
Italian doughnuts filled with lemon and ricotta. It also has a little retail area showcasing
locally-made gifts and pantry items.
21 Brougham St, Eltham
DUMPLING ALLEY
Who doesn’t love xiao long bao (soup dumplings)? This place has the best in the area,
and does a few different versions: black truffle, crab and pork, and Sichuan. Hard to
go past the originals though.
Westfield Doncaster
SECRET KITCHEN
Everyone I know loves yum cha, but you don’t want to be travelling halfway across the
city for it. This is the best one in our area and has a huge dining area that’s great for
getting a big group together.
Westfield Doncaster
SINO KITCHEN
If you’re a fan of picking your dinner from the tank, this is one for your list. It’s a tucked-
away spot with all the Cantonese favourites and barbecued meat, as well as reasonably-priced live seafood.
Tunstall Square Shopping Centre, Doncaster East
DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE
This cafe has a chill, homely-vibe and is always a winner with the kids. Probably
because they can get crumpets with Nutella sauce or sliders and chips. And house-
made bronuts (brioche doughnuts). Luckily, there’s plenty for grown-ups, too.
