Move over martini, Melbourne’s coolest cocktail makers are putting new twists on old classics.

Taking inspiration from the great cocktail bars of the world and their iconic creations, the Eau-de-Vie team is inviting some of the best makers in the biz to join them in an old v new cocktail showdown where old-school classics are given contemporary twists.

As part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival in March, Orlando Marzo – the world’s best bartender in 2018 – and Alex Boon (World Class Bartender Australia Winner 2019) will join Eau-de-Vie’s Alex Woodmass and Greg Sanderson in an afternoon of liquid history.

They’ll shake and stir up a storm with classic cocktails and new wave interpretations – perhaps a fiery take on an old fashioned, or a liquid nitrogen Italian zabaione twist on an espresso martini.
