Two teenagers have been arrested and accused of filming themselves driving their luxury cars before a three-car crash on the Western Ring Road.

Police believe the two 19 year olds, from Craigieburn and Roxburgh Park, were racing each other before the incident took place near Ballarat Rd about 5pm on Monday.

A white Mercedes allegedly lost control before the other car, a white Audi, crashed into another car.

The Mercedes driver ran off from the scene and jumped into another car, but later returned to the scene where police were waiting.

Officers arrested the two men and are expected to charge them on summons with various traffic offences.
