Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward after a young motorcycle rider was killed in a fatal crash on Thursday night.

Emergency services were rushed to the scene on Millers Rd near the intersection of Primula Ave after triple-0 calls reported a motorcyclist had crashed into a pole at 7.20pm.

A Victoria police spokesman said the rider, a 21-year-old Brooklyn man, was rushed to hospital but died from his injuries a short time later.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing,” he said.

“Anyone who witnessed the crash, has dashcam footage, or any other information that could assist police is urged to call Crime Stoppers.”

It comes after a 20-year-old from Croydon died at Melbourne’s east on Wednesday night.

Two young men also died in horror crashes in regional Victoria on Monday.

Five people in total have already lost their lives on Victorian roads in 2022, including three motorcyclists.
