Police are hunting a “dancer” who damaged a police car shortly before midnight on New Year’s Eve.
Officers were patrolling on foot near Nelson Place in Williamstown when it’s believed a man in a beige baseball cap and white shirt began dancing on the marked vehicle’s bonnet between 11.15pm and 11.25pm.
A Victoria police spokesman said before he left the scene, it’s believed the man smashed the windscreen.
“On returning, the officers found damage to the vehicle’s bonnet and front windscreen,” he said.
“Anyone with information, including video footage, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.”
