Vile human faeces found outside of Glen Waverley home

First we had the cyclist relieving herself in Brighton, then we had the incontinent runner in Albert Park. Now a turd terrorist has struck in Glen Waverley.

Why are people pooping in public?

A husband and wife have been left shocked and disgusted after discovering a nasty dump of human faeces outside their property in Melbourne’s southeast.

Adri Jay told Leader that she first spotted a small towel on the ground and a dirty mark on a wall near her garage door in Glen Waverley on Monday last week.

She didn’t think anything of it until she went to remove the items on Tuesday.

“I didn’t think it was poo so I went and checked what was on the wall then I saw that it was faeces wrapped in a towel,” she said.

“I felt really disappointed and angry … it was just really disgusting.”

Ms Jay said she was unsure whether someone defecated outside her Blackburn Rd house or whether the filthy faeces was dumped on purpose.

“I removed it all, it was so vile,” she said

Ms Jay said this was the first time an incident like this had occurred since they had moved into their house more than a year ago.

City of Monash Mayor Stuart James condemned the vile behaviour.

“Council is disappointed and disgusted at the use of a Monash street as a toilet and thoroughly condemns this act,” he said.

“It is unfair to expect residents of the street or council staff to have to clean up this mess.

“We would suggest that people ensure they plan their outings to ensure they can visit a bathroom if they need to relieve themselves.”

Mr James said when required, council could provide a clean-up crew.

“Council encourages anyone observing this type of behaviour to report the matter to Victoria Police as they are the appropriate authority to investigate,” he said.

This is not the first time Melburnians have taken to the streets to release their nasty stools.

In October last year, a cyclist relieved herself on a swanky driveway in Brighton and in May 2020 an incontinent runner was caught on CCTV defecating in an Albert Park garden.

The filthy act was filmed by security cameras installed by a local in a bid to stop people stealing plants from his yard.

Public defecating has also been an issue in Sydney with the most famous case brought to light by celebrity publicist Roxy Jacenko.

Jacenko’s 2019 bid to identify the mysterious jogger who kept relieving themself outside her Sydney office went global.

The Sweaty Betty founder posted multiple videos of a jogger making deposits between parked cars near her Paddington office and asked her Instagram followers to help unmask the “poo-perpetrator”.

However, the woman’s identity was never publicly revealed.
