A SOPHISTICATED Carrum Downs chop shop has been cracked by police and four men arrested yesterday morning.
Police raided two adjacent homes on the corner of Shearwater and Lyrebird drives just before 8am.
They discovered three Holden SS Commodores and a Ford Courier ute, all believed to be stolen, as well as a plethora car parts believed to have been stripped from vehicles taken from Langwarrin and Carrum Downs areas in the last six months.

Frankston detective Senior Sergeant Stephen McKenzie described the set-up as “sophisticated” and said the offenders knew what they were doing.
He said a car frame, engines, numberplates, other spare parts, VIN etching equipment and numberplates manufacturing materials were also seized at the properties.
The Shearwater Drive address is bordered by a tall green fence, shielding the stolen cars allegedly being stripped behind it.
But a red Avis rental truck sat in the driveway this morning as police loaded the stolen goods into the back of it.
Four men, aged 37, 42, 33 and 38, were arrested at the properties and are assisting police with their investigation.
They are expected to be interviewed in relation to handling stolen goods and vehicle theft.
A 31-year-old woman was also detained for a short time before being released without charge.
The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
