A couple charged with ramming a cop car and injuring a police officer were remanded in custody today.

Appearing in Frankston Magistrates’ Court this afternoon, neither Troy Cunneen, 28, or Lisa Wilson, 26, applied for bail.

The pair was arrested yesterday morning after an incident in which a police car was allegedly rammed and an officer received injuries to his arm.

They face charges including recklessly exposing an emergency worker to risk by driving and damaging an emergency vehicle.

Extra custody officers had to be brought into the courtroom when Mr Cunneen’s case was called, as it was feared he might become aggressive.

He had been agitated in the cells, one officer said, so more personnel were put in place in case there was any trouble.

But Mr Cunneen, wearing a blue police-issue jump suit, was placid, just nodding in agreement when he was told he would be remanded.

Ms Wilson was calm during her separate appearance.

Police will allege the homeless pair was found asleep early yesterday morning in an allegedly stolen vehicle in Arkaringa Crescent, Black Rock.
