A TIGHTKNIT community of mums have teamed up to throw a big birthday bash for a sick boy snubbed by his peers — and everyone’s invited.
Andreas Vavasis, who is about to turn 14, was born with a rare kidney disease that affects just five other children worldwide.
He has significant developmental delays and a malformed pituitary gland, which means his body doesn’t produce a range of hormones.

When he came home from school upset after being left off a party invite list, mum Angela took it to heart.
“It breaks my heart and I just don’t know what to say to him,” Ms Vavasis said.
She posted in online support group Mumlife Community asking for advice and sympathetic mums suggested throwing a special party for him.
“All of the mums have jumped on board. It’s been phenomenal,” she said.
Andreas loves music and is a passionate singer and loves following his heroes from the Richmond football club.
At his party he will get to see the Jolly Joeys singing group perform, as well as enjoy face painting, a magic show — and a massive cake.
Andreas’ birthday bash is on 5.30pm, July 21 at Lollipops Playland & Cafe Carrum Downs, which has donated the space.
