A MORNINGTON man trying to fly the coop after an armed carjacking was arrested on-board a domestic Jetstar flight on Tuesday morning.
A warrant was issued for the 47-year-old’s arrest for his alleged involvement in a terrifying carjacking on June 12.
A 24-year-old man was driving his black Holden Commodore along Exford Drive in Mornington just before 2am when two other cars boxed him in, detective Sergeant Jason Hocking said.

He said the man got out of one of the cars and threatened the victim with a gun.
Terrified, the victim ditched his Commodore and ran off into the darkness.
The thug then stole the Holden, but police found it in the same area about six hours later.
The crooks were nowhere to be seen.
The 24-year-old received minor injuries in the attack.
Police had been hunting the thug since, until Melbourne Airport police swooped on the Mornington man as he attempted to board an interstate flight at Tullamarine about 7am.
He was charged and remanded to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in August.
