A BERWICK man suffered cuts to his face and stomach after he was attacked by three men during a violent armed robbery in Narre Warren.

Detectives have issued a fresh call for information after the 19-year-old was stabbed during a by a man armed with a box cutter on Webb St, Narre Warren in February.

Casey crime investigation unit detective Senior Constable Daniel Jacobi said he was walking towards Supercheap Auto behind Toys R Us and Officeworks about 3pm on February 12 when he was confronted by three men.

He said one of the thugs “nocked the man’s wallet, mobile phone and cigarettes from his hand before pulling out a box cutter and attacking him.

The Berwick man managed to grab his phone and run off but returned a short time later to find his wallet with $250 cash and cigarettes gone.

Police are hunting the three thugs involved in the attack. All are described as caucasian, aged in their late teens and about 187cm tall.

The first man was wearing a black cap, black T-shirt with rolled up jeans and black Nike Air Max shoes. He also had a satchel bag draped over his shoulder.

The second was also wearing a black cap, rolled up jeans, Nike shoes and a satchel bag with a white T-shirt.

The third was wearing a cap, blue polo shirt, rolled up jeans, white Nike shoes and a satchel bag.

In an unrelated assault police are also hunting a thug who hit a 64-year-old Eumemmerring man in the head as he walked along Princes Highway about 11pm on June 6.

Sen-Constable Jacobi said the victim had just passed the United service station in Eumemmerring when a man of African appearance confronted him and demanded his wallet.

The pair struggled on the ground before the victim managed to run away.

His attacker is about 173cm tall aged in his early 20s and was wearing a dark collared shirt, light coloured jacket and dart pants.
