BIRDS of a feather have flocked together to support Langwarrin South farmers Eva and Janos Barabas.
The couple hatched a plan for a well-earned retirement — closing their farm, Nirvana Eggs, and selling their much loved chooks after a quarter of a century supplying the region with free range eggs.

Ms Barabas said the couple had been stunned after Leader’s article about the closure and sale of their 4000 cooks went viral.
“Social media has really taken it on board and moved it along,” Ms Barabas said
“It’s been amazing with other media jumping on board. I’m overwhelmed with the response. We’ve sold 1000 birds from the farm to different people. I’ve had people come down to buy one chook to 100 chooks,” she said.
Ms Barabas said the remainder had all been bought by a farmer from Bairnsdale.
The doors will officially close on Nirvana Eggs on October 22.
The couple plan to do sightseeing and go travelling in their retirement.
Mr Barabas said: “We can’t wait to get out and go fishing.
“We haven’t really seen Victoria. We’ve never seen the Great Ocean Rd. And can’t wait to go to Sovereign Hill.”
Ms Barabas said: “This will be our first New Year’s Day since opening, that we have had a chance to sleep in.”
