Coronavirus breacher caught with drugs, stolen IDs in car after being pulled over at 2am in Frankston
A man police pulled over at 2am told officers he was out because he had to “drop off a friend” in Frankston but wouldn’t tell police who his pal was. Officers didn’t believe him and found out why he lied when they searched his car.

A covidiot caught breaching pandemic regulations by speeding at 2am with ice and stolen IDs in his car has faced court.
Ryan Fischer said he had drugs in the vehicle “in case he had a relapse” and had to be out at that time of the morning because he was doing a mate a favour.
As well as ice, the 32-year-old from Skye was also nabbed with a firearms licence and a working with children card that didn’t belong to him.
On Thursday morning he faced Frankston Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty to seven driving, weapons, theft-related and breach charges.
Fischer, who was on bail at the time, also got a fine for breaching coronavirus restrictions by being out of the house for no valid reason.
He said he had to “drop off his friend” in Frankston — a pal he wouldn’t name, and wouldn’t say where he lived.
Fischer was arrested and remanded because he had breached bail conditions to not take drugs and to abide by health requirements imposed due to the pandemic.
The court heard the excavator driver had dug himself into a hole by being seen by police speeding on Skye Rd in Frankston in the early hours of July 30.
He was pulled over and a search uncovered 0.5g of ice in a bag as well as the dodgy ID cards.
Fischer had been intercepted six weeks before on Cranbourne Rd in Frankston and again found with weapons and drugs on board.
That time he had cannabis and prescription medication and a knife hidden in his car.
In court his defence lawyer said he hadn’t taken ice for eight weeks and only kept some in his car in case he relapsed.
She said he had the prescription medication to deal with a broken foot he suffered when he had escaped a home invasion by jumping from a two-storey window.
Magistrate Vicky Prapas said Fischer had a lot to lose if he continued to do drugs and drive around with weapons.
“Spending a few hours in police custody in the cells when there is a pandemic is a very uncomfortable experience,” Ms Prapas said.
“If you keep on doing this, it (custody) will become a lot more frequent.
“Hopefully you will have taken this as a lesson, taken it as a wake-up call.”
Fischer was released after spending a few hours in police cells, convicted and fined a total of $1500.
