Police got more than they bargained for after pulling over a carload of men in Wantirna, allegedly discovering a haul of weapons, drugs and a gun.
Two men have been arrested after divisional van members from Knox spotted the car sitting in the middle of Barmah Drive with five men on board about 1.30am Wednesday.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the car was intercepted by two uniform police members before a search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered a quantity of alleged drugs, two conducted energy devices (also known as tasers), knuckle dusters and a gun.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested at the scene and has been charged with possessing the firearm and handling stolen goods.
He will appear at a children’s court at a later date.
A Box Hill man, 21, was arrested and has been charged with possessing a drug of dependence.
He was bailed to appear at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on December 2.
A Blackburn South man, 20, was allegedly found with a taser and knife.
He is expected to be charged on summons at a later date.
Police believe the gun was stolen during an aggravated burglary in Harkaway.
