Ringwood Magistrates Court: Man who wielded axe around Frankston CBD fronts court again over more death threats

A mad man who is serving time for threatening to slit the throat of a McDonald’s worker and wielding an axe in the Frankston CBD has faced court again after threatening someone who took his weed.

A man who terrorised the Frankston CBD while armed with an axe has returned to court after he threatened the life of a friend who pinched some of his pot.

Anthony White, 47, pleaded guilty to making death threats in the Ringwood Magistrates Court on February 12.

The court heard he was smoking cannabis in a Ringwood home with a friend when they took some of his weed on October 2nd about 8pm.

White then became aggressive and threatened to kill the victim.

“If you do it again I’ll chop your hand off,” White said.

“People get shot over this.

“People are coming now and you are going to be shot.”

White then blocked the terrified victim from exiting the home.

The victim was able to flee from White while he was on a phone call to another friend.

They immediately ran away and reported the threats to police.

Later that evening, White was arrested and searched where police found ID cards in his wallet that did not belong to him.

White was sentenced to four months imprisonment for this incident.

He appeared in court via video link as he is already serving a five month sentence for other crimes including threatening to slit the throat of a McDonald’s barista and wielding an axe in the Frankston CBD.
