A driver has tragically died after a car left the road and rolled into a paddock in South Gippsland as police investigate what led to the crash.
Emergency services were called to the scene of a crash on the Inverloch-Kongwak Rd in Kongwak about 6am Friday after a car was found off the road.
Early investigations indicate the car left the road and rolled into a paddock early Friday morning.
The driver, who is yet to be formally identified, was found dead at the scene.
A police spokesperson said a section of the road near Harman Wines was closed.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
In 2024, 43 lives have been lost on Victorian roads, that figure was 55 this time last year.
