IT DOESN’T need to be a vegetable to be vegan-friendly and Olinda’s newest foodie venue is proving decadence isn’t reserved just for dairy eaters.
Only Mine chocolaterie has catered for those of almost every intolerance or lifestyle choice with a sumptuous vegan hot chocolate.
The liquid gold treat is made with dairy-free dark chocolate, almond milk, coconut cream and vanilla bean.

Married couple Jason Stockton and Anya Tran set about making their shared dream — opening a chocolate shop — come true about three years ago, starting from their home kitchen and opening in Olinda earlier this year.
Mr Stockton said of the seven people in their family only one could try all their dairy chocolate delights.
“So after we launched we had to start a vegan and dairy free range,” he said.
For those who are able to indulge in dairy and rich flavours, the couple has something very special.
Mr Stockton said one of the chocolaterie’s bestsellers is their signature hot “next level” chocolate.
“It’s like drinking pure chocolate. It’s really, really nice. People come back over and over again for our hot chocolate,” he said.
He said their other bestsellers were the boxed chocolate range, with something for everyone.
“We have 16 flavours and those in the vegan, dairy intolerance and gluten free range are orange, raspberry, lemon and peppermint, chilli and cashew, and Himalayan salted lime,” Mr Stockton said.
“In our normal range our most popular is the Himalayan salted caramel, passionfruit with real pulp in the ganache, classic vanilla, matcha, coconut and almond, peanut butter, apple and cinnamon, cookies and cream vanilla and licorice, and chai.”
The couple started out creating their products in their home kitchen and selling at markets and online.
But have now opened their chocolaterie in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges with the help of family and friends.
“It’s a really nice place to go. It’s really touristy, we have really great locals and it’s a great location,” he said.
