CherryHill Orchards Blossom Festival a hit

A festival allowing visitors to wander through spectacular rows of blossom at a Yarra Valley orchard has proved so popular it has already sold out its weekend sessions. But if you missed out this time fear not, the stunning property will open again soon.

CherryHill Orchards Blossom Festival has proved to be so popular its weekend sessions have sold out.

The festival, which wraps up on Sunday, allows visitors to enjoy the magical sights of Japan here in Victoria, strolling through cherry blossoms at the Wandin East property.

If you act quickly and head out today, you can pack your own picnic or choose from a range of food trucks, including Vietnamese Nem Nem, Asian favourites Dum and Dumpling,

Mexican street-food Dos Diablos, Real OG Burgers and more.

There will also be giant lawn games, selfie photo fun, live entertainment and endless cherry treats including CherryHill’s famous cherry ice-cream.

CherryHill Orchards began in 1940 when George Riseborough planted the first cherry trees in Victoria. Today the family still carries on the cherry growing tradition.

If you missed out on the blossom festival, the orchard will open its door again in late November for cherry picking.

It’s at 474 Queens Rd, Wandin East.

Adults $10, children $5 or free on weekdays.
