DID someone say free pizza?

Yes, you heard right. And, it’s not just any pizza.

Melbourne pizza giant 400 Gradi will open their new Yarra Valley restaurant this weekend and are celebrating by offering free margherita pizzas for the whole weekend.

From today until the end of Monday, pizza lovers can enjoy a free pizza between two people at 400 Gradi’s fifth restaurant at Rochford Winery.

Melbourne pizza institution 400 Gradi is giving away free pizza this weekend.

400 Gradi Founder, Johnny Di Francesco said the new restaurant would open Friday to Monday, serving pizzas, antipasto, pasta, sides and desserts.

“I am so passionate about what I do,” Di Francesco said.

“Bringing the traditional food of Naples to the Yarra Valley is part of a continued plan to share my love for Italian cuisine with as many as possible.”

In July in Naples, 400 Gradi’s East Brunswick restaurant was named best pizzeria in Oceania at the 50 Top Pizza awards.

Di Francesco also won the title of Pizza World Champion in 2014.

Rochford Winery will house the 400 Gradi restaurant on the green, separate to the winery’s existing modern Australian cuisine restaurant Isabella’s, and the cellar door.

Rochford owner Helmut Konecsny said it was a “thrill” to welcome to 400 Gradi team and was looking forward to “a long and successful partnership”.
