A longstanding Mooroolbark watering hole has been hailed as the best bar in Yarra Ranges.
Brycees Tavern is a favourite of locals, who voted in a recent Leader poll, for their favourite bar.
And pub, which has sat in the prime location on its namesake Brice Avenue for the past 22 years made it to the top with Yarra Ranges punters.
Bar manager Julie Noonan said she believed it was the central location, atmosphere and service that punters enjoyed.
“It’s a lovely place and a very good bar,” Ms Noonan said.
“The food is great and the beer is cold.”
She said the pub swapped hands earlier this year in January and was now owned by Carl Cwister and Nina Pannu.
Ms Noonan said breakfast and brunch had recently been introduced and were really enjoyed by customers.
A fresh cocktail menu is being finalised and will join a great selection of beers on tap, which include Carlton Draught, Victoria Bitter, Great Northern, Guinness, Kilkenny and Canadian Club and Dry.
She said there were new televisions in the pub to encourage punters to watch the football while meeting with mates.
“We have live music every Friday night and acoustic bands every second Sunday afternoon,” Ms Noonan said.
