HE loves trees — but a cheeky statue in AFL star Jonathan Brown’s garden is catching all his visitors by surprise.
The former Brisbane Lions champion and green thumb, who is building a veggie garden at home with his five-year-old son Jack, visited Ruskin Park Primary School this morning to promote National Tree Day.
But Brown revealed there is an eye-raising monument at his Hawthorn property — a statue of two naked women.

“At an old property we had, we had two naked ladies in the garden, which was quite a source of laughter for five-year-olds,” Brown said.
“I told (wife Kylie) dress her up, put something on it.
“It’s a good talking point for guests, when they walk into the house, there’s a naked woman sitting in the front garden.
“They’re unnamed but I tend to call them Kylie and Brown sometimes, from her glory days.”
This morning Brown helped the Croydon students in grades prep, three and four plant trees in the Ruskin Ave garden.
“I’ve got a grade three child myself and we love getting out there and planting a few trees,” Brown said.
“For the city kids, life is so busy, and as cities become more populated, its important for kids to be able to get out and plant a tree.
“They’re very passionate about it, and they’re getting right into which is good to see.”
Away from tree talk, Brown has tipped Richmond to win back-to-back AFL premierships in September, but said Greater Western Sydney were the “smoky” for this year’s flag.
“They’re getting hot, they’re so talented that if they get on a hot streak, they will be really hard to stop,” he said.
Brown was also impressed with his former club’s progress and believes Brisbane will return to finals action in 2020.
