Alleged killer Adam Winmar charged with assaulting woman while awaiting trial
An accused killer waiting to stand trial for the alleged shooting death of his partner has been accused of assault just months after being granted bail over the alleged strangling of a woman.

An accused killer — who was out on bail — is back behind bars on remand after allegedly assaulting a woman while awaiting trial for the alleged fatal shooting of his partner.
Adam Winmar, 30, has been charged with assault after allegedly punching a woman in the face on January 19.
The accused killer was granted bail by Magistrate Michael Wighton at the Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court in October over a series of alleged assaults on a woman in September and October.
On those matters, he was charged with common law assault, criminal damage, non-fatal strangulation and recklessly causing injury.
He was bailed on strict conditions to report to the Richmond police station three times a week.
The former Shepparton man will face Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on February 25 in relation to these new charges as well as the charges dating back to late 2024.
He was remanded into custody at the Melbourne Remand Centre after the alleged assault on January 19.
Mr Winmar is also due to stand trial in the Supreme Court over the shooting death of his girlfriend Kiara Ferguson.
Mr Winmar was charged with negligent manslaughter and being a prohibited person to possess a firearm.
Now of Collingwood, Mr Winmar will face a hearing on February 21 in the Supreme Court.
A trial date is yet to be listed.
