Braybrook has ranked the highest in Maribyrnong for the likelihood of home burglaries, new statistics show.
Figures from an RACV analysis revealed 1 in 52 homes in Braybrook were likely to be robbed, which is higher than Council and Victorian averages.
Suburbs Footscray, Seddon and Seddon West ranked in second and in line with the state average of 1 in 76.

The Yarraville area was 55 per cent safer than the state average, burglary rates at a low of 1 in 118 homes.
Overall, 1 in 84 homes were likely to be burgled in the municipality of Maribyrnong.
Victoria Police Superintendent Peter Greaney said the force had focused on reducing burglaries at both a strategic and a local level.
“We continue to make arrests and work towards reducing the number of victims of this crime,” he said.

- 1 in 82 — Kingsville, Tottenham, Maidstone, West Footscray
- 1 in 97 — Highpoint, Maribyrnong
- 1 in 118 — Yarraville, Yarraville West
Crime figures showed there were 89 cases of aggravated robbery recorded in Maribyrnong from 2017-18, a 25 per cent increase from the previous year.
An RACV survey found 83 per cent of people believed the state had a “crime problem”, with one in four saying crime was a regular occurrence in their community.
RACV spokeswoman Bess Nolan-Cook said concerns included people using or dealing drugs, vandalism and property damage.
