BURNSIDE SPRINGS UNITED
Ashan Ranaweera, coaching announcement: A former captain-coach at Sunbury.
FOOTSCRAY UNITED
Will Sheffield: An English bowling all-rounder who has played First Class cricket for Sussex.
Nathan Stubbings: The top order batsman has been confirmed as the club’s first signing.
GELLIBRAND
Ben Coddington: Has joined as the new First XI captain and senior coach. Coddington is from Wimbledon CC in the UK but has had previous stints in Melbourne.
Alex Risk: The top order wicketkeeper batsman comes to Australia for the first time as an import from England.
James Wade: Joins the club from England and is a strong bowler.
GLENROY
Ragulraj Devasara: The opening bat has made the move from Sunshine.
Naeem Arif: The fast bowler has made the move from Pascoe Vale Hadfield.
GRAND UNITED
Hamza Ali: Ali has joined the club an assistant coach after a Subbies stint with Coburg where he was captain last season.
KEILOR
Dimuth Karunaratne: The former Sri Lankan Test skipper is the headline addition to the competition of the off-season.
Harry Warwick: During the 2024 season, he scored just shy of 800 runs at an average of 41 including two centuries.
PEGS
Omar Phillips, head coach: The West Indian Test representative has stepped into the top job for next season. He played five games last year.
POINT COOK
Buddhika Algewatta: The star all-rounder joins from Sunshine United in Senior Division.
Balakrishnan Jayakumar: Joins the club as an opening batter from Yarraville.
Suresh Thelege: Joins the club from St David’s in the Box Hill competition. He is a top order bat who can also bowl some “handy” left arm spin.
POINT COOK CENTRALS
Kade Clowes: Described as a player with the ability to bat and bow for extended periods.
Max Pritchard: The fast bowler and aggressive bat returns after stints with Prahran and Yarraville.
Max Rouvray: Joins from local rivals Point Cook and is capable of making an impact with bat and ball.
SEDDON
Adrian Neill: The tall and lanky Scottish international quick spent the 2023-24 season with Sydenham-Hillside.
ST ALBANS
Paul Hetherington, captain-coach: Makes the move from Gellibrand where he led the club to back-to-back premierships.
SUNBURY
Jack Narraway: The club’s new English import. A wicketkeeper who is also a top order batter.
Leo Italiano, coaching announcement: Arrives at the club after experience with other VTCA clubs.
SYDENHAM-HILLSIDE
Coaching appointment: The reigning league medal winner, Anthony Alleyne, has been appointed as the new senior coach.
TULLAMARINE
Johanne De Zilva: The ex-Sri Lankan first class player is a quick bowler known for his ability to swing the ball both ways.
Coaching announcement: Devin Ratnasinghe will step into the dual role of head coach.
YARRAVILLE CLUB
Dilan Chandima: The former Sri Lanka first class cricketer has joined from Darley. He’s described as a “classy right-handed top order batter and leg-break bowler”.
Thuppahi “Tuffey” Nadeera: An ex-Sri Lankan first class player who arrives from Altona Roosters where he made the Team of the Season last summer.
WESTMEADOWS
Clayton Campbell: Returning to Victoria after a stint in Tasmania where he scored over 600 runs last season.
Jordan Kosteas: Has returned to the club after a stint in Premier Cricket and will slot into the top order.
Cam Ward: One of the club’s imports. Ward is a wicketkeeper-batter from England.
Ben Willsdon: A promising batter from England.
Tallan Wright: One of the standout all-rounders of the competition has made the move to the Warriors.
WILLIAMSTOWN CYMS
Coaching announcement: Nick Duxson has taken on the top job after crossing from Spotswood. He’s also played at Sunshine United.
