A Mildura woman threatened to kill a man and two children with a knife and spat on a supermarket worker during a vile crime spree, a court has heard.
Patricia Wilson, 43, indicated through her lawyer she would be pleading guilty to several charges including assault and making threats to kill.
In April of this year, Wilson attended the Woolworths on Langtree Ave with a friend. When the Woolworths worker asked Wilson's friend if she could search her bag, a frenzied Wilson accused the Woolworths worker of being a racist before threatening to hit her with a scooter and spitting on her.
Wilson also spat on two Mildura Base Hospital security guards on separate occasions when she was being removed for antisocial behaviour at the hospital.
Wilson continued to terrorise the Mildura area and on July 7 approached a man in the front yard of his own house.
The court heard Wilson asked the man for a lighter. When he said he had no lighter, Wilson flew into a rage, pulled a knife on the man, and told him she would kill him, his children, and anyone else in the house.
Wilson was arrested for that incident and while in the cells spat on police and custody officers on more than one occasion.
She also hindered her own chances of getting bail with erratic behaviour when she was taken to sign her bail release papers by repeatedly showing aggressive behaviour.
Police told the court Wilson threatened a police officer during her time in the cells,
“I’ll get you in the street, out of uniform. I’ll burn your house down,” Wilson is claimed to have said.
Magistrate Patrick Southey was clearly disturbed by Wilson's propensity to spit on people, calling it “disgusting” several times throughout the hearing.
Mr Southey also suggested that Wilson's mental health was likely on the decline due to excessive methylamphetamine use.
He indicated he would give Wilson a one-month jail sentence followed by a community corrections order (CCO).
Wilson remains behind bars while she awaits assessment for a CCO and will be sentenced on Thursday.
