The six teens then ran from the car and hid in a paddock behind some thick shrubs.

While the helicopter kept watch ground units swooped in and arrested the entire group.

It is alleged the Barina was stolen during a burglary in Teneriffle St just hours earlier.

Police arrested a 14-year-old Manor Lakes girl, a 14-year-old Point Cook boy, a 15-year-old Seabrook boy, a 15-year-old Point Cook boy and a 14-year-old Point Cook boy.

They were released pending further inquiries.

A 15-year-old Wyndham Vale boy is expected to be summonsed to a children’s court at a later date.
