Head on down to Victoria’s best escape rooms for a unique, quirky experience — but beware — some escape rooms have a terrifying thrill to them.

Whether you are celebrating a birthday or going out socially, these rooms will likely take you out of your comfort zone.

Former Monash Leader journalists Jesse Wray-McCann and Christine McGinn also took a trip to a Haunted escape room in Glen Waverley back in 2017, which was the very first interactive escape room to arrive in Australia.

See below where you can explore the state’s coolest, themed escape rooms you may or may not be able to escape from.

EscapeXperience

Level 1/38-40 Eaton Mall, Oakleigh

Located just down the road from the Chadstone Shopping Centre is the EscapeXperience.

EscapeXperience has three different rooms that can put you into another dimension.

In the “Amnesia” room, players awaken in an unfamiliar environment with no memory of who they are or how they came to be there.

The door has been locked behind them and the window is boarded up and outside, chaos reigns on the streets as there is a threat of a new catastrophe looming over the world.

Inside the “Burlesque” room, players have gone undercover to investigate a series of mysterious disappearances.

Behind the glitz, glamour and mystery lies a dark secret someone is desperate to keep hidden — and players have to find out before it’s too late.

If players select the “Clockworks” room, players go back almost a century ago when Robert Spear vanished, just days before he could reveal his masterpiece invention that was going to change the world.

After years of searching it has all led to here, this time, this date and this place — and players have to discover the answers that were never revealed.

EscapeXperience is open from 10am until late seven days a week.
