An “evil” former McDonald’s manager sexually assault a girl in the restaurant’s toilet.
Alexander Iswahyudi, 23, was sentenced in the County Court on Friday to a minimum nine-month jail term after pleading guilty to multiple sexual penetration of a child under 16 charges.
The court heard Iswahyudi sexually assaulted the 15-year-old girl various times between October 28 and December 3 last year.
Iswahyudi, a former southeast McDonald’s restaurant manager, joked with his victim and told her that she “smelled nice”.
Iswahyudi also communicated with his victim via Messenger, Snapchat, Instagram and FaceTime.
Iswahyudi met his victim at the restaurant and drove her to wetlands where he sexually violated the child.
Iswahyudi, of Cranbourne, later assaulted the child at public toilets at a beach then later told his victim to come to the restaurant on November 8.
Iswahyudi, who was now unemployed, assaulted the victim and performed other lewd acts.
Iswahyudi ordered the child to leave the toilet cubicle first “so they didn't both walk out together”.
Iswahyudi assaulted his victim inside the disabled toilets at a beach on December 3.
The victim later told her mother that she had “lost her virginity” to Iswahyudi and had “sex” with him multiple times.
The victim’s mother reported Iswahyudi to police on December 10 who arrested him outside the McDonald’s later that day.
Iswahyudi, who was hauled away for questioning, told police he knew his victim was 15 and admitted what he did was “wrong”.
The victim, who tearfully read her impact statement to the court, said she felt “disgusted”.
“ (Iswahyudi) treated me so badly,” she said.
“I felt used … which made me feel dirty, gross and extremely disrespected … it got to the point where I felt like I had do something sexually with him every time …
“I also had the constant worry of becoming pregnant …
“I look back now and I feel disgusted and ashamed with myself that I got sucked into all his lies …”
The victim’s mum, who also read her impact statement to the court, said Iswahyudi “physically and psychologically harmed my child in such a horrendous way”.
“I struggle every day with the knowledge I couldn’t protect her from such evil,” the mother said.
“I feel angry that this man … took advantage of my daughter and treated her in such a disrespectful and harmful way …
“I cannot forgive this man for what he has done.”
The court heard Iswahyudi’s position at McDonald’s became “untenable” after his arrest but he was now focused on “self-improvement”.
Iswahyudi, who plays competitive basketball, has since worked as a venue manager, and as a food and beverage attendant at a golf course.
The fiend is currently in an “age appropriate relationship”, the court was told.
Judge Gabrielle Cannon said Iswahyudi’s conduct must be “appropriately denounced”.
“(You were) in a position of power and trust … you were the adult in the situation,” Judge Cannon said.
Judge Cannon also said Iswahyudi unprotected sex with the victim was an “aggravated feature” of the offending which she also termed “opportunistic”.
“This was entirely inappropriate,” she said.
Judge Cannon also spoke directly to the victim, telling the young girl she had “nothing to be ashamed of”.
Iswahyudi, who was made a registered sex offender for life, was jailed for a maximum three years.
