FRIGHTENED women are warning others about a spate of creepy incidents in Elwood, after catching perverts peering in their windows and taking photos of them in the shower.
One fed-up woman now even chases a man down the street with a baseball bat when he shows up at her house “every one or two weeks”.
At least four incidents of men hiding in bushes have been reported to police in the last few weeks, and many say it’s been going on for months.
One woman told the Port Phillip Leader she was showering last week when she spotted a man in his 30s hiding outside and taking photos with a mobile phone.

Her flatmate then came home and saw the man, who was wearing a black and white jacket, running away, before they called police.
Several other women have spoken out about similar incidents, around Foam, Scott and Spray streets, Austin Avenue and Ormond Rd.
It is believed more than one pervert is on the loose, one described as an older man who “looks like a worn-out Santa”, and another as a very pale man who always wears a baseball cap, bike shorts and a fluffy windcheater.
Sylvia Bellini said she frequently saw the man with the baseball cap watching her from outside.
“It’s gotten beyond a joke,” Ms Bellini said.
“He’s here at least every couple of weeks on Friday or Saturday nights and what worries me is that it’s escalating,” she said.
“One of the most frightening times was when I was painting my nails around 11.30 at night and I saw him actually inside the property.
“He’d come through my gate so I just went outside with my baseball bat and screamed at him.”
PERVERT BANNED FROM TEACHING KIDS TO DIVE
Another Elwood woman said an older man knocked on her window last Saturday about 1.35am. He was also seen crouching near a window on Monday at 4pm.
“A man was standing and knocking on my side window and then the same man knelt in the front garden trying to look in my neighbour’s window,” she said.
“It was very unsettling and my window is down a side alleyway so he would have no reason to be there.
“I’ve always felt really safe here, but now I’m too creeped out to put my bin out.”
She described the man as over 50, shabby and “looking like a worn-out Santa” with a white messy beard, an Adidas tracksuit and old jumper.
A fellow resident also reported seeing a thin man in his late 50s roaming Pine Ave at 11.20pm last Saturday.
Elwood’s Alex said the incidents spanned back months, with her neighbour catching someone filming her in the shower last year before also chasing him down the street.
“I expect this kind of suss thing living close to the city — the more people around, the more likely there will be creepers but it would have been pretty scary for the girl involved,” she said.
Port Phillip crime investigation unit detective Senior Constable Peter Smith said police were investigating, and urged anyone who saw suspicious behaviour to call 000 immediately.
