Volkan, who was with his model girlfriend Jonita Ragaisyte at the time, resisted arrest and police were forced to use pepper spray to subdue him.
During his interview, Volkan attempted to mislead police by lying about what was found in the apartment.
He also denied living at the apartment, instead claiming he lived in his childhood suburb of Beaumaris.
County Court Judge Meryl Sexton labelled Volkan’s actions as “amateurish”.
“(It was) not that of a commercial operation but rather an amateurish and very chaotic and haphazard attempt to create a mixture,” she said.
“What the police uncovered when they searched the apartment was a veritable Aladdin’s cave of other drugs.”
The amateur bodybuilder, who also goes by the name Red Ra, has an extensive criminal history.
In 2011, he was jailed for four months for trafficking ecstasy and possessing methylamphetamines.
His rocky relationship with former lover Edelsten ended in May 2016.
Volkan, who had already spent 213 days in remand, was sentenced to three years jail but will only serve two.
He will be placed on a two year Community Correction Order when released.
