Detectives fear a man who threatened a Carnegie auto repair shop employee with a live taser will strike again if he’s not taken off the streets soon.
The wanted man entered the unlocked front office of the Dandenong Rd business shortly before 11pm on Sunday, November 11.

He hid in the office while he waited for staff working at the rear of the repair centre to leave.
However, a short time later another employee entered the office and confronted the man.
The employee was forced to flee after the man produced a live taser and threatened him.
The offender eventually fled the business with a bag of stolen goods.
He was spotted driving off in a white Ford Mondeo with stolen plates.
Bayside crime investigation unit detective Senior Constable Kellie Maher said police were “highly concerned” by the “alarming” incident.
“We need to get this man off the street because we fear he will strike again,” she said.
“We are very concerned a weapon such as a taser is being used for crimes as the devices can cause serious injury.”
The man is described as caucasian, in his mid-30s, with short brown hair and a short beard, overweight, and wearing dark trackpants with two white stripes down each leg, and a white long sleeved top.
Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers or Glen Eira Bayside CIU on 8530 5225.
