Snacks will be available for humans and canines.
This will be the second time the famous St Kilda art deco theatre has ushered in pooch pals to a movie after its wildly successful screening of Isle of Dogs last year.
Astor general manager Zak Hepburn said the session was met with such great enthusiasm from dog lovers that the theatre simply had to do it again.
“Animals and the Astor have always had a deep bond via the eternal presence of our resident cat Duke but we thought it should not just be for cat lovers,” he said.
“Patrons are encouraged to bring along their canine cinematic companion to enjoy the film in our downstairs stalls but its BYO bow wows.”
Hepburn said Duke was also looking forward to meeting all the dogs
The session begins at 4pm this Sunday, February 17 but puppy parents are advised to get there early as the event is sure to have tails wagging.
