Police appeal for information after fire crews extinguish massive Moama blaze
Police are appealing for information after a massive fire destroyed a three-storey houseboat.

A massive fire has destroyed a three-storey houseboat in Moama on Wednesday morning.
Emergency services were called about 2.50am Wednesday morning to reports of a fire.
Crews from Moama 379 along with Moama RFS and Echuca CFA, Echuca Village, Ambulance Victoria and both Victorian and NSW Police services attended the fire.
The houseboat was completely destroyed but thankfully no people were hurt.
Crews brought the fire under control within the hour, and continued well into daylight hours until the area was declared safe.
Police remained on the scene while investigating the cause of the fire.
Investigations remain ongoing. A spokesperson from NSW Police said officers were working to distinguish a cause.
“Officers attached to Murray River Police District have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the fire, with the cause yet to be determined,” they said.
