The operator and director of a Beechworth caravan park is facing WorkSafe charges after a female worker was allegedly sexually harassed.
WorkSafe has charged Bromell Pty Ltd, trading as Beechworth Holiday Park, one count of allegedly failing to provide and maintain a safe workplace without risks to health.
Director Paul Brown, 56, is also separately charged with failing to take reasonable care and failing to ensure a workplace under their control was safe and without risks to health.
The company is accused of failing to reduce psychological injury by not creating a policy on appropriate and inappropriate workplace behaviour, and implementing the policy by training all managers, supervisors and employees.
WorkSafe alleges the director was solely responsible for the company’s breach after exposing the worker to health and safety risks between July 2022 and March 2024.
The matters are listed at Wodonga Magistrates’ Court on September 2.
