Three soldiers have been injured during a training exercise at the Puckapunyal Military Base.

The tragic truth about road deaths in Australia

Three people have been treated by paramedics after the car they were training in on a military base rolled.

The Australian Defence Force has confirmed an Army ‘Hawkei’ protected mobility vehicle – light (PMV-L) was involved in a single vehicle accident during a driver training course at Puckapunyal Military Area on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to the base about 12.15pm.

One soldier was evacuated by ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, while two other soldiers were treated on site and have been taken to the on-base medical facility for observation.

The soldiers’ families have been notified and welfare support is being provided.

The Defence Force said they were investigating the incident.

“Defence is committed to ensuring the safety of all Australian Defence Force personnel during training activities,” a spokesperson said.

It comes after four soldiers were injured, one seriously, during a training exercise at the military base in June.
