Court: Numurkah duo accused of sickening child sex abuse

A Numurkah man and woman are accused of sickening child abuse, which includes allegedly filming sexual acts with a child.

A Numurkah duo are accused of engaging in sexual activity with children, including allegedly filming sexual acts with a child.

The accused man, 40, fronted the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court from Hopkins Prison in Ararat, while the accused woman, 38, appeared via video link from Dame Phyllis Frost Centre in Melbourne.

The man is facing 43 charges from the Wangaratta Sexual Abuse and Child Abuse Investigation Team, while the woman is facing 28 charges.

The man is accused of producing child abuse material on multiple occasions, masturbating over a sleeping child’s head and filming sexual acts with a child.

The woman is accused of sexually penetrating a child, filming sexual acts with a child as well as intentionally producing child abuse material.

The man is also charged with allowing a dog to sexually penetrate the female accused. 

The alleged offending began in 2018.

Due to the sensitivity of the matter, the Herald Sun cannot name the accused.

They will next front court on September 24.
